The Air Jordan 7 was the shot of confidence, of victory, and of peak. It was released in late 1991/early 1992. Michael Jordan was at the peak of his career. Everything in the world seemed to be conspiring in his favor. He didn’t need to prove himself. He needed nothing.
The Chicago Bulls won the season for the second time (straight) and defended their title. Jordan came out with a couple of awards for himself—before taking part in the Olympics and grabbing a gold medal for the country. It was then that Nike and Michael Jordan came up with Jordan 7.
Nike tried a few new tricks at this design. They brought into play their “Huarache” technology to wipe clean all what had been the defining features of Air Jordan.
